Almac to employ 1,800 people in global recruitment drive

The CDMO will raise its headcount to 8,000 across its 19 global facilities amid increased demand for services

After reporting a £677.3 million turnover for its financial year 2019/2020, CDMO Almac has now announced its plan to create 1,800 new jobs across its sites worldwide during the next 3 years.

The new jobs will offer opportunities for both graduates and experience candidates in operational, supervisory and managerial roles across its business.

Positions are already available across 120 different job roles at the CDMO's sites in the UK, Ireland, North America, Singapore, Japan and the Nordic region.

During the past 15 years, Almac Group has experienced continued growth in revenue and employee numbers annually. During the financial period 1 October 2019 to 30 September 2020, the company increased its turnover by £43 milion (6%) from the previous year.

The company says it reinvests 100% of its profits into the business and with significant investment in expansion projects planned over the next 3 years, Almac will see its headcount rise to 8,000 across its 19 facilities globally.

According to the company, demand for its services is steadily increasing. The new roles, therefore, will support Almac's ongoing "significant expansion and improvement projects" across its sites.

“As demand for our services steadily increases, our aim is to continue to grow our global team by actively recruiting 1,800 new individuals across a wide variety of diverse and exciting areas," said Alan Armstrong, Almac Group CEO.
