APR Applied Pharma Research s.a. (“APR”) is a Swiss, independent Pharma company, focused in niche and rare therapeutic areas on a global basis. The Company develops and commercializes science driven, value added products in niche or rare therapeutic areas, by applying advanced pharma technologies and outstanding pharma development know-how. In particular, APR’s business model is currently focused on 2 (two) pillars: (i) internally developed and financed (alone or together with our co-development partners) proprietary, value added products to be licensed to healthcare companies for their commercialization, and (ii) support to third party projects by offering added value R&D services under contract and fee for service arrangements. APR has a balanced pipeline of revenue generating branded products marketed in all major markets combined with a compelling pipeline of innovative products at different stage of development.  The products developed or under development at APR range from Rx to OTC pharmaceutical products and include medical devices as well as nutritional supplements for targeted disease areas. Examples of marketed products include a patented formulation of Diclofenac for the treatment of migraine and acute pain, Nexodyn® AOS, a HClO Wound Cleanser for an optimized acute and chronic wounds care, Setofilm®, Ondansetron Oral Dispersible Film (ODF) for cancer supportive care (treatment of CINV and RINV), PKU GOLIKE®, an innovative Phenylalanine (Phe)-free medical food formula for Phenylketonuria management. The company’s R&D efforts are currently focused on the development of improved treatments for rare inherited metabolic disorders, ocular diseases and rare dermatological diseases.APR has entered into licensing and partnership agreements with pharmaceutical companies in over 70 countries with international sales on a worldwide basis.  The company has recently started up a direct sales and marketing organization in selected countries in rare disease products area.
