The Asahi Kasei Functional Additives Division offers Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) for oral solid dosage forms of pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals.
We started MCC production in 1970 in Nobeoka, a city in the south edge of Japan, which is birthplace of Asahi Kasei Group.Since the 2000s, we have been continuously developing MCC products that have high performance which derives from innovative particle morphology.
Our MCC is highly evaluated by Japanese pharmaceutical industry because of its high quality. It occupies majority of market share in Japanese pharmaceuticals.
