AstraZeneca Teams up with Cellworks to Find New TB Treatment
AstraZeneca and Cellworks have announced a Wellcome Trust-supported collaboration to speed up the design of new combination therapies for multi drug resistant TB.
AstraZeneca and Cellworks have announced a new collaboration that will see the two companies work together to develop a new treatment for tuberculosis (TB).
Cellworks will use its proprietary predictive platform to help identify combinations of existing drugs with the greatest potential to tackle multi drug resistant TB (MDR-TB) - a disease that is reaching epidemic levels in many developing parts of the world.
Once Cellworks has identified possible combinations, AstraZeneca will validate the top ten in its laboratories before conducting in-vivo tests.
