Baxter Releases Financial Report 3Q11
Baxter reported third quarter net income of $576 million, an increase of 10 percent from $525 million reported in the third quarter of 2010.
American health care company Baxter International Inc. announced Thursday its third quarter financial results.
BioScience revenues in the quarter were $1.5 billion (+9%), boosted by Gammagard Liquid, certain plasma-based therapeutics, and vaccines.
Medical Products sales were $2.0 billion (+7%). 1Q10 included a charge totaling $588 million related to the recall of COLLEAGUE infusion pumps and 3Q10 included an impairment charge of $112 million associated with the company’s divestiture of its U.S. generic injectables business.
