Bayer and Zydus Set up JV in India

Bayer signed a deal to form a joint venture in India to distribute pharmaceuticals with India-based Cadila’s Zydus.

Bayer HealthCare and the Indian company Zydus Cadila signed on Friday an agreement to establish the Joint Venture Company Bayer Zydus Pharma. With this new marketing and sales enterprise, Bayer aims to enhance its capabilities in the fast growing pharmaceutical market in India.

 

Each party will hold 50 percent of the shares of Bayer Zydus Pharma, and be equally represented on its management board. About 600 employees from both companies will work for the venture.
