Benzalkonium Chloride Solution 50% Ph.Eur., USP/NF, JP (BKC/BAC/BAK) CAS No. 8001-54-5

Consists of Benzyl (dodecyl) dimethyl ammonium chloride (C12 approx. 65%) and Benzyl (tetradecyl) dimethyl ammonium chloride (C14 approx. 35%). Other chain length distributions are also available. Manufactured in accordance with the cGMP Guideline ICH Q7 for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. Multicompendial analyses according to the current European (Ph.Eur.), United States (USP/NF) and Japanese (JP) Pharmacopoeias. Analysis according to ChP is under implementation.

Benzalkonium Chloride (BKC/BZK/BAK/BAC) is a powerful antimicrobial surfactant and is commonly used as an excipient in ophthalmic and nasal spray formulations, or as an API in wound disinfection, various oral and topical antiseptic formulations, and medical devices.
