Biocon offers a wide range of oncotherapeutic which includes biomab egfr?. Composition: recombinant humanized igg1 monoclonal antibody. Mechanism of action: it is a monoclonal antibody that specifically binds to the extracellular domain of the epidermal growth factor receptor (egfr) and prevents signal transduction. Indications: it is approved for the treatment of advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (scchn) with concurrent radiotherapy/ chemo radiotherapy. Nimotuzumab is approved in more than 27 countries for indications which include head & neck cancer, glioma, esophageal and nasopharyngeal carcinoma
