ChargePoint Technology expands into Europe with new Munich site

The company has seen demand skyrocket in the region.

ChargePoint Technology, a pharmaceutical containment and aseptic processing specialist, has opened a new facility outside Munich, Germany in response to increasing demand.

The new 75m sq site will support customers in the region with onsite consultations, virtual demonstrations and technical support. The company, whose headquarters are in the UK, says the move aligns with its goal of expanding into the DACH region, which comprises of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

ChargePoint Technology creates containment and aseptic transfer valves and single-use solutions that are essential for the safe transfer of powders during pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The Munich facility will be headed up by Patrick Werner, regional manager for the DACH region.

Speaking about the expansion, ChargePoint Technology CEO Chris Eccles said: ‘In the last four years we have tripled our order intake in the region and I’m sure this growth will continue with Patrick and the team now permanently based in the area. This new investment and expansion of the team in the DACH region demonstrates ChargePoint's commitment to the region and our valued customers. We will continue to add the resources necessary to support our customer base in the territory as we grow.’

The company reported significant growth in its business over the last year, which promted an expansion of its US offices. In January, ChargePoint also acquired US-based Terracon Corporation, a manufacturer of single-use products and accessories for mixing, transferring, and storing liquids and fluids in the biopharma and life science markets.
