For the fourth quarter of 2011, the company reported revenues of $33.5 million, an increase of $3.7 million or 12% over $29.8 million in the fourth quarter of 2010. Product revenue increased $6.9 million or 80% over the same time period of 2010.
Research and development expenses in the fourth quarter of 2011 were $15.5 million, compared to $13.3 million for the fourth quarter of 2010. The increase was primarily due to additional headcount for the development of CodeXol? Detergent Alcohol.
