COP-11 Biodiversity Conference to be Held Next Year in Hyderabad, India

This is the 11th Conference of Parties (COP-11) on biological diversity and will be the first meeting to assess the implementation of the Nagoya biodiversity compact.

The International Biodiversity Conference is to be held from October 1 to 9, 2012, at India's Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

 

This is the 11th Conference of Parties (COP-11) on biological diversity. It is expected that more than 30 countries and 12,000 participants will take part in this convention.

 

India has not hosted a meeting of a Conference of the Parties to a multilateral environmental agreement since 2002. This will be the first meeting to assess the implementation of the Nagoya biodiversity compact.
