Covance has finalised its deal with sanofi-aventis to become the French drugmaker’s research and development partner over the next 10 years.

Covance has finalised its deal with sanofi-aventis to become the French drugmaker’s research and development partner over the next 10 years. Covance has also bought sanofi-aventis'' Porcheville, France and Alnwick, UK sites and all employees will transfer to Covance. The deal, announced on 29 September, is expected to generate revenues ranging from US$1.2bn to US$2.2bn over the next decade. Covance, headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, US provides drug development services to the pharmaceutical industry.
