Dako Forms Diagnostic Alliance with Amgen
Dako announced a new collaboration agreement with Amgen on the development of a diagnostic test for an Amgen cancer drug candidate in clinical development.
Danish cancerdiagnostic supplier Dako said Monday that the company has established a collaboration with Amgen to develop a diagnostic test for an Amgen cancer drug candidate in clinical development.
Lars Holmkvist, Dako's chief executive officer, said,"This new collaboration underlines Dako's commitment to advance personalized medicine in cancer treatment as the selection of patients most likely to benefit from a specific treatment will increase the probability of therapeutic success for cancer patients suffering."
In January 2012, the two companies entered a collaboration to support the concurrent development of drug and diagnostics for a rare but deadly cancer.
