Product Description

Horseradish peroxidase (HRP), is a plant derived
enzyme and is extracted from the roots of horseradish
and is worldwide used extensively in
biochemistry applications. Our Horseradish
peroxidase (HRP) is a pure brown to red-brown
lyophilized powder for reconstitution and use in
protein research methods. The main application for
HRP in molecular biology and protein research is as
a reporter system for immunoassays and other
probe-based assay techniques such as ELISA,
Western blotting, EMSA and Southern blotting.The enzyme
is usually conjugated to specific secondary antibodies or
streptavidin & its activity is detected with a color-forming (or
light-generating) substrate. One unit catalysis the production
of 1 mg of purpurogallin from pyrogallol in 20 seconds
at 20°C and pH 6.0. Our product has typically ≥ 300 U/mg
and his highly soluble, resulting in a clear, brownish solution.
