Indian Drugmakers Eye US Market after FDA Inspections

The FDA inspections in the last few weeks are raising hopes among some of Indian companies they will shortly be able to export medicines to the world’s largest drug market.

The US FDA has inspected the manufacturing plants of at least half-a-dozen Indian drug makers, raising hopes that these companies will be able to export medicines to the world’s largest drug market. Several industry executives said teams of inspectors from the FDA did not find any major deficiency during their inspection of facilities of Ranbaxy Laboratories, Orchid Chemicals, Emcure Pharma, Nectar Lifesciences and Ind Swift Laboratories.
