IPS to support pharmaceutical and biotech clients in Brazil

IPS has launched a new office in Sao Paulo to meet its requirement for a local presence in the country.

IPS-Integrated Project Services has launched a new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to enable it to better support its clients in the emerging market.

IPS provides engineering, construction, commissioning and qualification services to clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The new venture, IPS-Integracao de Projetos e Servicos, will be led by Brazilian Francisco Paula Santos, who has previously led global efforts for Bristol-Myers Squibb, Wyeth and other major pharmaceutical companies.
Dave Goswami, chief executive officer and managing director of IPS, said: "With a rapidly growing economy, and as the world's fifth largest country, the Brazil market offers a great deal of opportunity for IPS and our clients."

Mr Goswami revealed that an increasing number of the company's multinational clients are choosing to open facilities in Brazil, making a local presence in the country "essential" for IPS.

"Our Brazil office will enable us to continue to provide clients with innovative and cost-effective business solutions and our superior technical expertise that they have come to expect from our IPS team and brand," he added.

IPS already has four offices in India, another of the four so-called 'BRIC' emerging economics, in addition to several offices in the US, where it is headquartered.
