Robinson Brothers Limited has announced details of major investments at its two UK sites, aimed at increasing the company’s capacity at the research and development end of the manufacturing scale.
Robinson Brothers Limited (RBL), one of the UK’s largest independent chemical manufacturers, announced details of major investments at its two UK sites, aimed at increasing the company’s capacity at the research and development end of the manufacturing scale. The increase in capacity has been necessitated by record levels of customer demand, with 2011 marking a milestone sales year for both RBL and its subsidiary Endeavour Speciality Chemicals (ESC).
A ￡100K investment at RBL’s pilot plant in West Bromwich has seen the installation of two new glass lined reactors, one 225L and one 450L, which will increase plant capacity by circa 15%-20%. The installation is supported by improvements to the sophisticated computer control systems at the facility.
