MCT-Congress Announces Medidata & Microsoft to Present at Inaugural mHealth Event

MCT-Congress, a new UK mHealth event that will explore the impact that mobile solutions are having on the clinical research process, has announced that Medidata Solutions and Microsoft will present at its 2014 event taking place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, 20–21 March. Medidata, the leading global provider of cloud-based solutions for clinical research in life sciences, is the congress' headline sponsor and will deliver new insight into the use of mobile and cloud-based technology for improved patient engagement and better health outcomes.

“Mobile technology has the potential to bring dramatic change to the quality, efficiency and cost of life science research, while drastically improving the patient experience,” said Glen de Vries, President of Medidata. “Medidata is pleased to participate in MCT-Congress 2014 to explore this emerging area.”

As the largest event of its kind in the UK, the congress will gather providers, leaders and influencers from all aspects of mHealth to discuss successes, challenges and innovations, with the aim of helping to break new ground by fostering collaboration across the industry.

Neil Pearson, Regional Vice President UK for Microsoft, will deliver a thought-provoking discussion on the current deployments and the future of mHealth technology, addressing how the latest industry advances and software developments are changing the way clinical trials are managed and helping to improve health worldwide.

"The MCT-Congress is a rare opportunity to look at mHealth from all perspectives," says Neil Pearson. "It will provide the perfect platform to inspire attendees to connect, learn from one another and exchange ideas. As an innovator, Microsoft is committed to providing solutions that support clinical transformation and we look forward to sharing our advances with delegates at the congress."
