New Rules Should Improve Chinese Pharmaceutical Market

A senior Chinese medical official insists that a new regulation will help to regulate the pharmaceutical excipients industry.

A new regulation on the management of pharmaceutical excipients should help to prevent malpractice in China, a senior medical official has said.

 

Yin Li, director of the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), told the official news agency Xinhua that the new regulation will come into effect on February 1st 2013 and will ensure the industry undergoes stricter scrutiny in future.

 

The move follows the recent scandal involving contaminated medicine capsules.
