New Web-Based Tool for Analytical Methods Launched by SGS Life Sciences Services
SGS Life Science Services has launched a new, searchable online database of analytical methods performed by its laboratories worldwide. Introduced in response to customer demand, the new tool contains biopharmaceutical, biosafety and bioanalysis methods, providing clients with an overview of SGS’s analytical development expertise and experience, enabling clients quick and easy identification of suitable methods to optimize their R&D and manufacturing processes.
The database will be utilised by biopharm R&D and analytical managers, as well as any drug development manager interested in outsourcing analytical testing. Customers looking for a laboratory with the capability and method for a specific sample will be able to easily search via a number of selection criteria including
• Service type — bioanalysis, biosafety or biopharma characterization
• Sample or product type — such as biologics, vaccines or biomarkers
• Technique — including molecular biology, chromatography, mass spectroscopy, biophysical technique and cell-based assays.
“For existing and potential customers, the new system puts the power of search in their hands. They will be able to quickly assess SGS’s capabilities and determine if a specific test can be performed within our global network of labs,” commented Florent Hediard, Global Marketing Director, SGS Life Science Services. “It will make the outsourcing experience along the product development pathway much easier and quicker with the knowledge that methods exist for a sample of interest. It is all about, expertise and time savings.”
