Pfizer to Invest $200M to Improve Biotech Facility in Ireland

Pfizer CFO noted that Ireland is a prime location for major investment, citing the fact that pharmaceutical and chemical products account for over 50% of Irish exports.

Pharma giant Pfizer plans a $200m investment to improve the company's biotechnology manufacturing plant in Ireland.

 

The company's Grange Castle facility will receive two new processing suites in order to expand its production and testing capacity, enhancing on the capabilities of what is already one of the world's largest biotech facilities.

 

Pfizer CFO Frank D'Amelio noted that Ireland is a prime location for major investment, citing the fact that pharmaceutical and chemical products account for over 50% of Irish exports.

 

Pfizer currently produces two blockbuster products at the Grange Castle plant - pneumococcal disease vaccine Prevnar and arthritis medication Enbrel.
