Sectra enters Southeast Asian market

Asia to get new visualisation technology from Sectra.

Medical imagery specialist Sectra is due to enter the pharmaceutical market in Southeast Asia, having signed a partnership agreement with CT Frank Technology in Malaysia yesterday (January 21st).
The agreement will see CT Frank distribute Sectra's visualisation table across the company, as well as through distribution centres in Thailand, China and Vietnam.

University Malaya Hospital in Kuala Lumpur was the first institute to receive the product as part of the agreement, where it will be used for both education and research purposes.

Louis Tan, Business Development Manager at CT Frank Technology, was keen to advocate the technology, adding: "We consider that the Sectra Visualisation Table offers great potential and have already noted interest from medical institutions and health ministries."

The product allows users to interact collaboratively with full-size 3D images generated by CT and MRI scanners, with special features including the ability to cut through different types of tissues with a virtual knife.
