The Rx-360 Upstream Supply Chain Mapping White Paper

The white paper reviews the present state of how the pharmaceutical industry maps its upstream raw material supply chain and the associated challenges that accompany it.

This second paper is a follow-on of the first paper, “Upstream Supply Chain Security” (published April 2014) and delves into the topic of supply chain mapping.

The paper largely explores supply chain mapping as a result of the internal Rx-360 member survey on the topic and gives the reader a perspective on the state of supply chain mapping in the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industry today.

It also discusses approaches to supply chain mapping, reviews mapping software, service providers, and current supply chain mapping references from pharmaceutical industry guides and standards. The appendix that is associated with this white paper contains the raw data from the Rx-360 member survey and is meant to accompany the white paper.
