Thermo Fisher Scientific Showcases Clinical Lab Technologies

Technologies that will improve accuracy and productivity in the clinical laboratory have been showcased by Thermo Fisher Scientific.

The products have been on display at booth 5140 during the Clinical Lab Expo at the American Association for Clinical Chemistry conference, which is currently being held at the George R Brown Convention Center in Houston until 1 August.

The company announced that its QMS Tacrolimus has now received 510(k) clearance by FDA, while it marked the debut of the MAS Omni-CARDIO controls.

Also being showcased at the event was the Sorvall ST8 centrifuge and new offerings in chromatography and mass spectrometry in the shape of the Prelude SPLC and TSQ Endura.

Marc N. Casper, president and chief executive of Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "Clinical laboratories are playing an ever-increasing role in supporting the diagnosis and monitoring of disease. Our goal is to develop new technologies and diagnostics tests that enable physicians to deliver better patient care at a lower cost."
