VWR International Acquires Italian Lab Products Supplier
Laboratory supplier VWR International has acquired Italy's International PBI, a supplier of laboratory equipment and products.
VWR International, a global laboratory supplier, has acquired Milan-based International PBI, a supplier of laboratory equipment and products, with particular expertise in the microbiology field.
International PBI represents several brands, in addition to its own product portfolio, and serves a range of markets, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biotechnology and clinical.
"International PBI's business and strong technical capabilities are a great complement to VWR's European operations, allowing us to expand our operations in Italy and deliver the best of both companies to our customers," said Manuel Brocke-Benz, VWR's senior vice president and managing director of Europe.
