Jiangxi Institute of Biological products was established in 1969. Its original name is Shanghai Institute of Biological Products, Jiangxi Branch. The institute has produced biological products for more than 30 years.

The institute mainly manages tetanus antitoxin (immunoglobulin) and concurrently manages chemical products, such as chlorine dioxidc, povidone iodine and intensified glutaraldehyde, etc. The production capacity of tetanus antitoxin is the first place in China.
