Alps Pharmaceutical Ind Co Ltd began manufacturing medicines in 1947 from herbs that were growing naturally in the mountains of Hida. Today, Alps manufactures a wide range of products from botanicals, kampo medicines, synthetic medicines and intermediates to natural pigments, food additives, and feed additives. Alps supplies pharmaceutical raw materials (APIs) to major pharmaceutical manufacturers in Japan and worldwide.
