Product Overview
Artemether Injection is an antimalarial drug with Artemether as its active ingredient, belonging to the artemisinin derivative class. It works by rapidly killing Plasmodium schizonts in red blood cells, making it particularly suitable for the treatment of severe malaria (including cerebral malaria) and chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum malaria.
Indications
Primarily used for the treatment of severe or complicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, especially in cases resistant to conventional antimalarial drugs such as chloroquine.
Also applicable for emergency treatment of other malaria types, particularly when oral antimalarial drugs are unavailable or absorption is impaired.
