Amgen to Acquire Turkish Pharma Outfit Mustafa Nevzat

Amgen is to buy Turkish pharmaceutical company Mustafa Nevzat for $700 million.

Biotechnology giant Amgen has announced that it is to acquire Mustafa Nevzat Pharmaceuticals (MN), a Turkish supplier of injectable medicines and pharmaceuticals to the hospital sector.

 

Amgen will acquire 95.6 per cent of shares in the privately held pharmaceutical company, valuing it at $700 million.

 

Turkey represents a priority market for Amgen and the latest acquisition will significantly expand its operations in the region.

 

Robert Bradway, president and chief operating officer of Amgen, said the company was dedicated to supplying innovative medicines to patients around the world.
