UBM Live has announced the opening of CPHI Korea 2014, which will take place on 2–3 September 2014 at the COEX in Seoul, South Korea. Co-organized by the Korean Pharmaceutical Traders Association, the event will co-locate with ICSE, creating a comprehensive platform for pharmaceutical supply chain sourcing and partnerships.

The value of the South Korean pharmaceutical market is expected to reach $24.3 billion in 2020 according to a MarketOptimizer.com report. Further solidifying South Korea as one of the largest pharmaceutical markets in Asia, the country’s “Pharma 2020 vision” commits $8.9 billion to drug development by 2020. Ideally located, CPHI Korea will serve as a central hub for the region, granting key delegates and industry leaders from Japan, China, India and Hong Kong access to this growing market.

Throughout the 2-day event, CPHI Korea and co-located event ICSE will provide pharma manufacturers access to global suppliers across almost every aspect of the pharma supply chain, including raw materials, machinery, packaging solutions and contracting services. Running alongside the exhibition, high-level conference programmes will offer valuable insights from key government, industry and academic opinion leaders. Programme topics are set to include topics such as strategies for entering or expanding business in the growing Korean pharma market, and drug registration in the Korean market.

Highlights of CPHI Korea 2014:

• Co-location with ICSE providing services and opportunities through the whole supply chain
• Conference programme featuring opinion leaders from government, academia and industry, with workshops, round tables and plenary sessions
• A buyers programme to deliver high-value buyers in growing markets
• Potential one-to-one partnering for visitors and exhibitors to provide new leads and business partners.
