Dublin-based clinical research firm ICON has posted its financial results for 4Q 2011.
Business awards in the quarter were $308 million, a book-to-bill of 1.3. For the year, new business awards were $1.3 billion, a book-to-bill of 1.4. Also, Brendan Brennan has been appointed chief financial officer at ICON. Mr. Brennan has served as acting chief financial officer since October 2011. Previously he served as ICON’s senior vice president of corporate finance and has been a senior member finance team since January 2006. Prior to joining ICON, Mr. Brennan held a senior corporate finance position in CRH plc, an international building materials group.
