OPKO R&D Facility

EirGen have commenced construction of a state of the art R&D facility in the Business and technology Park, Cork road, Waterford (Opposite the Whitfield clinic). The facility will be construction complete in Q2 2018 with a phased start up leading to full readiness in early 2019.

The facility provides R&D, clinical and commercial capability to develop Injectable products (Vial, Syringe and cartridge) through a multi-purpose aseptic fill line; freeze dried or liquid and high potency if required. It will also enhance EirGen’s current capability in the development of high potency Oral Solid Dose products, with a new R&D Oral Solid Dose facility. Extensive Labs for research and development are also being built.

This facility will give EirGen a unique flexibility in the development of products for its parent company, OPKO. It offers many varied R&D opportunities across multiple disciplines further enhancing EirGen’s position as the employer of choice in R&D.
