Sinochem Lantian is the successor of Zhejiang Petrochemical & Building Material Group Co Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Petrochemical & Building Material) which was a provincial-level group formed by Zhejiang Petrochemical Group Co Ltd and Zhejiang Building Material Group Co Ltd. In June 2008, Sinochem Group (a Fortune Global 500) became the holding company of Petrochemical & Building Material after signing an investment agreement with the State-owned Asset Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of Zhejiang Provincial Government.
