Calcipotriol Monohydrate

Calcipotriol / Calcipotriene Monohydrate is an HPAI Vitamin D Derivative used for the treatment of plaque psoriasis, also in combination with steroids.

Calcipotriol Monohydrate is a synthetic Vitamin D3 derivative, prescribed for once or twice-daily use in the treatment of moderate plaque psoriasis. It is commonly recommended for topical dermatological application. The combination of Calcipotriol Monohydrate with a corticosteroid improves efficacy and decreases skin irritation.

During the last years a great deal of activity has been devoted  to developing analogues of Vitamin D which show the desired cell differentiating and immunomodulating activity, but with strongly reduced hypercalcemic activity.
