The Bornewables™ offer circular Bormed™ polyolefins with a reduced carbon footprint and are produced with renewable feedstock derived entirely from waste and residue streams.

The distribution agreement will take effect as of October 1, 2021. The new agreement applies to Bormed™ portfolio of innovative polyolefin grades for healthcare. Complementary Borealis and IMCD product portfolios will enable even more choice in polymers.

The switch to Bormed Polypropylene products helped Nemera meet its safety and environmental targets during the design phase of a disposable pen injector platform without compromising on performance or production efficiency.
Nemera faced two main challenges in resin selection: 1) compatibility with the main components and high scale manufacturing, 2) reduction of carbon emissions. Both were addressed with Borealis PP. The device platform is now commercialized.
Following the success of this project, Borealis materials are being evaluated for other Nemera platforms, laying the foundation for a long-term collaboration built on a shared commitment to innovation and sustainability.
