The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) is an Omani government authority established in 2020 to oversee, regulate, develop, and promote the Sultanate’s special economic zones, free zones, and industrial cities. OPAZ works to create an attractive and competitive investment environment, facilitate investors, and support economic diversification in line with Oman Vision 2040. It oversees key destinations including Duqm, Sohar, Salalah, Al Mazunah, Khazaen, and Madayn’s industrial cities, supporting investment, industrial development, logistics, and international trade.
