    Bart is Portal Instruments Vice President of Strategy and Product Management. Responsible for the creation of strategic business partnerships, Bart brings over fifteen years of experience in drug delivery product development and business development from both the medical device and biopharmaceutical side.

    Prior to Portal Instruments, Bart led combination product development and industrialization at Regeneron, more than tripling the size of the team and expanding its breadth to include the design of proprietary, complex drug delivery devices during his tenure.

    Previously, Bart led global business development for self-injection systems at West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. Bart has a BS in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

    Yasemin Karanis
    Senior Consultant
    IQVIA

    Yasemin is a Senior Consultant in the European Thought Leadership team based in IQVIA’s London office. Her primary areas of focus are trends in innovative launches, drug delivery and formulations as well as the oncology market with an emphasis on commercial trends.

    She has presented and moderated panels on these subjects in a variety of conferences. Yasemin holds a Masters in Cancer Research and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences both from Newcastle University. Prior to her role in Thought Leadership, Yasemin was part of the Real-World Insights – Global Oncology team where she worked on the co-ordination and set-up of reports focusing on various cancers.

    Lionel Jeannin
    Associate Director Oral Packaging and Delivery Systems
    Novartis

    Lionel Jeannin is an Arts & Métiers ParisTech Engineer with a Master degree in Business Administration from IAE Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management.

    He earned certificates in Biochemistry and Biology respectively from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has more than 22 years’ experience in the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical industry and has worked as a Project and Development Team Manager in the Industrial Engineering, Ophthalmic surgery Medical Devices, Parenteral Nutrition and OTC/Rx Pharmaceutical development domains.

    He is currently heading the Oral Packaging and Delivery Systems Group in the Global Device and Packaging Development department of Novartis Pharma Technical Research and Development division.
