DISCSTAR™ H

DISCSTAR™ H
Product Description

The DISCSTAR™ H is available for 16” double open ended  mo-  dules with flat gaskets (DOE). It is a highly precise stainless steel filter housing for filter modules, developed and manufactured for everyday use. The enclosed system enables depth filtration to be carried out without drip loss.
Compared to standard vertical housings the DISCSTAR™ H is turned into a horizontal position. On one side there is a closure head through which the filter modules are loaded. The opening of the lid is supported by a gas-pressurized spring. To ensure a proper compression of the module stack, a compression force can be applied from the outside. No crane is needed to open the housing. Venting valve, sight glass, pipework and instrumentation are permanently installed. An optional residual filter can be installed to minimize the dead volume. The horizontal design allows a much easier and time saving operation.
The DISCSTAR™ H housing is much safer to operate and easier to handle due to an economic chest working height and easy loading and disposing of the modules.

  • Whitepaper Using Depth filters for Cannabis Oil Production

The use of depth filter sheets for the clarification and removal of chlorophyll in the production of CBD and related products has many advantages compared to the use of filter paper. Due to the thickness of the filter sheets the limited capacity to hold particles back increases the filtered volume per m2 at low costs. The activated carbon treatment takes out the chlorophyll and other odor and color influencing substances.
