Hovione and Particle Sciences Ink Drug Solubilization Pact

Hovione and Particle Sciences Inc have inked a collaboration deal to speed development projects targeting poorly water-soluble drugs.

Hovione and Particle Sciences Inc (PSI) have signed a collaboration agreement to combine their technologies to speed development projects targeting poorly water-soluble drugs.

Under the agreement, the two companies will use their solid solution technologies based on spray-drying capabilities to target ways of maximizing the bioavailability of BCS Class II APIs. PSI will develop the solubilization process and resulting drug product and Hovione will manage the scale-up and industrialization of the spray drying process for clients.
