India to Reimburse Product Registration Fees to Pharma Exporters

The move is considered to be a measure to motivate and encourage Pharmexcil members in export trade of pharmaceuticals.

India's Department of commerce has agreed to reimburse the product registration charges paid abroad by the exporters of pharmaceuticals.

Considering the proposal put forward by Pharmexcil, the Ministry of commerce has asked the members to apply for the reimbursement.

The members can now apply to the competent authority to get back the export product registration fee not only for the current year 2011-12, but can also for the  last two preceding financial years 2009-10 and 2010-11.

The move is considered to be an ‘Export friendly gesture’ to motivate and encourage members in export trade of pharmaceuticals.
