Medicia to distribute Injex 30 in Russia

A new distributor contract has been signed between Injex Pharma and Medicia.

Injex Pharma has signed an exclusive distributor contract with Medicia for the sale of its needle free syringe Injex 30 systems in Russia.

The agreement will also see Moscow-based Medici responsible for distributing its Shireen beauty kit within the country.

Included in the terms of the contract is a minimum quantity stipulation that means at least 30,000 Injex 30 systems and 7,000 Shireen kits will be distributed within the first year.

The syringe-without-a-needle technology aims to provide an alternative delivery system for medical applications including diabetes treatment, local anaesthetics, dental procedures and vaccinations.

Alexander Novgorodov, general manager for Medici, said: "We have strategically defined our roll-out for Injex. Needle-free technology is not just an alternative for needle phobia.

"Inject technological efficacy will benefit providers in delivering superior patient centric care. Giving patients a pain free alternative without mitigating efficacy makes sense."

Meanwhile, it is hoped that the Shireen beauty kit will help boost the rapidly expanding beauty space in Russia
