Merck Chairman to Retire in December
Merck & Co.'s former CEO, Richard T. Clark, is retiring as chairman effective December 1st.
Merck & Co.'s former chief executive, Richard T. Clark, is retiring as chairman effective December 1st.
Mr. Clark led the company for five years as president and CEO from 2005 through 2010. He has served as a director since May 2005 and chairman since 2007.
Kenneth C. Frazier, Merck's president and chief executive officer and board member — appointed this past January— has been elected to serve as chairman.
Mr. Clark said, "I have been a part of Merck for more than 39 years – I always have and always will consider Merck to be an important part of my life and my extended family. It has been a great pleasure to work with the talente
