SILFAR® S 184 is a silicone antifoam agent developed specifically for the pharmaceutical sector. It is monographed in the European Pharmacopoeia and is CEP certified by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM). As a result, SILFAR® S 184 has a Certificate of Suitability that is recognized by each of the 37 member states of the Convention on the Elaboration of a European Pharmacopoeia, and also by Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Tunisia and Morocco. This recognition greatly facilitates drug approval in these countries. Typical applications for SILFAR® S 184 include antiflatulent, antacid and fermented preparations.
