BioPharma Services Receives GLP Certification
The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) has granted BioPharma Services recognition to the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) Principles of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) as part of the GLP Recognition Program. Recognition was based on the results of a 2-day, intense, on-site inspection of BioPharma’s Bioanalytical Unit conducted in Feb 2015.
Accreditation by the SCC is based on internationally recognized criteria, and provides confidence and credibility in products, systems and services both in Canada and abroad. In Canada, the SCC manages the OECD’s GLP initiative, and is the Canadian GLP Compliance Monitoring Authority.
Andjica Tasic, Sr Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at BioPharma stated: “The auditing procedures of the SCC were very rigorous and thorough. The GLP certificate that was issued was based on a full facility inspection and study audit.”
“This GLP Certification received from the Standards Council of Canada together with our most recent FDA inspection of our Bioanalytical Unit continues to reflect the outstanding quality of our company.” remarked Mr Renzo DiCarlo, CEO of Bio Pharma Services.
