Covering nearly 29,000 m² with state-of-the-art warehouse, office, and mezzanine space, MSK Bensheim II lays the foundation for further growth and efficiency. At the same time, it reflects our long-term commitment to the region and our ambition to shape the healthcare infrastructure of tomorrow.
And the journey continues: with MSK Bensheim III already in planning, we are consolidating our presence in Bensheim and preparing the next step in our sustainable growth path.
On September 20, 2025, together with our project partner Panattoni Germany, we celebrated the opening of MSK Bensheim II. Around 200 guests attended the event – among them representatives from politics, business, and public administration, as well as our employees with their families and friends.
Nicole Rauber‑Jung, First Deputy Mayor of Bensheim, emphasized the importance of the project in her address: “The opening of the new MSK site in Bensheim is a strong signal: it creates additional capacity for a growing company, new jobs for the region, and sets benchmarks in sustainable construction. The decision to invest in several sites in our city demonstrates trust in Bensheim as a logistics and business hub, combining economic strength with ecological responsibility. It shows how the city, businesses, and partners can jointly revitalize unused land, implement ecological standards, and shape the future of the region.”
Christian Engelhardt, District Administrator of Bergstraße County, underlined the role of the new site for the company’s development: “With its second site in Bensheim, the MSK Pharma Group reaches another milestone in its impressive expansion: investing in robotics, enhancing efficiency and workplace quality, and strengthening Bensheim and the entire county as a sustainable business location.”
Simon Heß, Managing Partner of the MSK Pharma Group, added: “The opening of MSK Bensheim II marks an important step for us as a family‑owned company on the path to sustainable growth and long‑term responsibility. The new site strengthens our position as a comprehensive service provider for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry and reflects our deep connection to the region. Together with our employees and partners, we are building a powerful infrastructure for the healthcare of tomorrow.”
Following the official speeches, the day concluded with a summer and family festival – a fitting finale to an important milestone in our company’s history.
Strong Partnership, Strong CapacitiesAfter MSK Bensheim I, this is already the second joint project with Panattoni Germany in Bensheim. The new facility was completed in just nine months as a tailor‑made build‑to‑suit property.
Stefan Bohn, Managing Director of Panattoni Germany Properties GmbH, stated: “The realization of the new site in Bensheim shows what is possible through a trusting and goal‑oriented partnership. Together, we succeeded in creating a modern, sustainable property in record time, precisely tailored to the requirements of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. This project stands for efficiency, innovation, and the determination to shape the future together.”
The site covers approximately 28,740 m², offering 11,300 m² of warehouse space, 1,350 m² of office space, and 380 m² of mezzanine space. With 25,000 pallet spaces and 10,000 picking locations in the 15–25 °C temperature range, we are laying the foundation for further growth and even more efficient logistics.
Sustainability at the CoreFrom the outset, it was clear: this project should not only be modern and efficient but also a benchmark in sustainability. We therefore invested in forward‑looking technologies – including a fully fossil‑free heating system with VRF technology and heat pumps, photovoltaic pre‑installation on around 10,000 m² of roof space, and e‑charging stations for climate‑friendly mobility.
Nature and biodiversity protection also play a central role: green roofs, a wildflower meadow, an insect hotel, and nesting aids for birds create new habitats. Existing trees were largely preserved. Rainwater is used for irrigation, and permeable paving on car parking areas allows natural infiltration into the soil.
Sustainability for us also means promoting the well‑being of our employees – for example, through a dedicated well‑being area as a place to recharge, connect, and relax. Our goal: DGNB Gold certification and ESG verification in line with the EU taxonomy – for transparent, measurable, and lived sustainability.
Looking Ahead: MSK Bensheim IIIIn January 2026, we will continue our development in the region. Following the expansion of our presence in Bensheim in early 2023 and the takeover of MSK Bensheim II in July 2025, we are now starting construction of our third site in Bensheim, scheduled for completion in March 2027.
With this step, we are not only expanding our capacities but will also relocate our headquarters from Heppenheim to Bensheim upon completion. This will consolidate all sites in one city – a city with which we have been closely connected for many years. It strengthens our presence, shortens distances, and fosters even closer collaboration within our team.
