Saltigo showcases its phosgenation expertise and peptide synthesis reagents at CPHI Milan
At the CPHI Milan trade show, Saltigo, a subsidiary of the specialty chemicals company LANXESS, will showcase its expertise in the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical intermediates, regulatory starting materials, and specialty reagents. Saltigo supports pharmaceutical companies and pharmaceutical CDMOs as a custom manufacturing partner in these processes. A key focus is on phosgenation chemistry for highly reactive, carbonyl-containing building blocks. These include chloroformates, isocyanates, urea and carbamate precursors, as well as carbonylation reagents for modern peptide synthesis.
At CPHI Milan (October 6–8, Hall 12, Booth 12P40), Saltigo, a subsidiary of LANXESS, will present its portfolio of protecting-group and coupling reagents for peptide synthesis. The offering includes 2-chlorotrityl chloride and Cbz chloride for acid-labile protecting-group and linker strategies, with PyAOP, Fmoc-Cl, and Fmoc-OSu currently under development for scalable industrial supply. For coupling, Saltigo offers CDI, DIC, and EDC, covering carbodiimide- and acylimidazole-based activation pathways; CDI in particular enables amidation and peptide-coupling steps without direct phosgene handling. These reagents build on Saltigo's core phosgenation chemistry for carbonyl-containing building blocks such as chloroformates, isocyanates, and urea/carbamate precursors.
