SHL Medical announces strategic collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific to provide End-to-End offering for Molly autoinjectors

The collaboration will provide end-to-end offering of sterile fill-finish and device final assembly at Thermo Fisher’s site in Ridgefield, New Jersey, USA.

Zug, Switzerland | March 19, 2026 – SHL Medical AG, the global leader in advanced drug delivery solutions, announced today a strategic collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science. The collaboration will provide end-to-end offering of sterile fill-finish and device final assembly at Thermo Fisher’s site in Ridgefield, New Jersey, USA.

SHL Medical’s Molly modular platform is a proven, single-dose autoinjector technology designed to help pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies reduce development risk and accelerate time to market. Available in both 1.0 mL and 2.25 mL configurations, Molly is compatible with leading pre-filled syringe formats and supports both standard and customized device designs.

Under the strategic, non-exclusive collaboration, SHL Medical and Thermo Fisher will provide integrated support for SHL Medical’s Molly autoinjector platform at the Ridgefield site, including device final assembly, packaging and distribution. The collaboration is designed to simplify development and manufacturing for pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers, supporting a streamlined path from drug product manufacturing through commercialization.

This includes the installation of an autoinjector final assembly line at the Ridgefield site to assemble front and rear Molly sub-assemblies with filled syringes — many of which will be filled on site — followed by commercial packaging and distribution. By bringing sterile manufacturing, autoinjector final assembly and commercial packaging together under one roof, this approach reduces risk, streamlines technology transfer, and accelerates the delivery of life-changing therapies to patients.

The collaboration further enhances SHL Medical’s existing North American footprint, supporting the company’s continued expansion across the US and delivering a highly attractive, end-to-end- solution to the market.
