NHS Restructuring May Affect UK Pharma

An expert has claimed that the NHS overhaul taking place in England will have a knock-on effect on the pharmaceutical industry.

The ongoing restructuring of the national health service in England and Wales is likely to impact upon the UK's pharmaceutical sector, it has been claimed.

 

One of the biggest shake-ups in the history of the NHS is currently underway, after the coalition government decided to implement a radical overhaul in a bid to improve outcomes and reduce management costs.

 

This is likely to have ramifications for the pharmaceutical industry, according to Dr Malcolm VandenBurg, a medico-legal expert witness and specialist in general and pharmaceutical medicine.
