Placenta Extract as a wound healing agent

In general the clinical efficacy of Placenta Extract for wound healing is established. Placenta is also shown to play a beneficial role as a topical agent in the management of chronic non-healing wounds.The Placenta Extracts' anti-microbial properties against a large number of pathological microorganisms, related to prevention of the secondary infections to wounds, have been demonstrated.

Storage and Stability

Placenta should be stored in original and tightly closed containers or bottles at room temperature (not exceeding 25°C). Placenta Extract powder grade is a very hygroscopic product that easily absorbs humidity from the air. The recommended retest date is 2 years from date of production if stored as advised above.       

The shelf life for Porcine Placenta Extract in liquid form is 1 year from date of production.
