This January Pharmapack Europe is once again bringing the epicentre of all things pharmaceutical packaging to Paris, France. This year, to enhance our sustainability offering at the event, we are partnering with Stevanato Group. In the following interview Stevanato Group explains why sustainability is so important to them. 

The Aidaptus autoinjector and Alba® & Nexa® syringes are advanced, flexible platforms designed to meet the increasing demand for subcutaneous delivery of high value injectables. Autoinjector-syringe compatibility is critical to the success of the combination product. To ensure reliable and scalable products, Stevanato Group's internal test houses continuously investigates functional performance across varying conditions, and characterises critical syringe attributes such as break loose and glide forces under stress conditions. This presentation will demonstrate the importance of this rigorous testing program in order to fully characterise combination product performance in real-use scenarios. The expanded capability of Stevanato Group related to device and primary packaging demonstrates how a well-integrated development strategy can mitigate compatibility challenges by design. This shows how a high-performance PFS (Alba® & Nexa®) fully integrated with the Aidaptus® autoinjector offers a reliable, scalable, and patient-centric drug delivery solution, supporting the accelerated development of biologics and other advanced therapies.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has triggered a fundamental shift within the innovation paradigm for the pharmaceutical industry and has been implemented in almost every aspect of the value chain, from drug discovery and development to manufacturing. One application of AI which offers particular value is the realm of visual inspections, which present a challenging step in the packaging process. This is particularly true for products with complex characteristics where manual inspections can sometimes fall short, leading to errors and inconsistencies. AI learning models can optimise the packaging process by detecting minute errors, resulting in fewer rejects, less intervention and a more efficient process overall. This webinar will tackle some of the key drivers and benefits to implementing AI for pharma visual inspections to enhance performance, improve accuracy, efficiency and overall quality.
